Joshua Howard serves as Executive Director for CAA Tri-County. He is charged with overall management of the Division and plays an active role in local public affairs serving as the Association’s primary lobbyist with the City of San Jose. Additionally, Joshua has been asked by several local Mayors to participate on advisory councils, task forces, and commissions on issues dealing with housing, local government finance, and the Bay Area business climate. Prior to being named Executive Director in July 2007, he served as Vice President, Public Policy & Communications for the San Jose/Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce, Public Affairs Director for CAA Tri-County, and as a senior aide to former San Jose Vice-Mayor Pat Dando. In 2006, the San Jose/Silicon Valley Business Journal named Joshua one of the Bay Area’s “40 most influential people under age 40.” He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Santa Clara University and a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of San Francisco.
