Mid-Peninsula Meeting:

Learn how to use IRA funds to take advantage of real estate investment opportunities.  Find out how a “Checkbook LLC” can give you greater control, flexibility, and avoid delays.  Join Jeffrey B. Hare, Attorney, and Lamarr Baxter, Entrust Administration Business Development Representative, to learn about the pros and cons of using self-directed retirement funds to invest in today’s real estate market.  Discover why the Checkbook LLC may provide a unique advantage when investing in bulk REOs, buying foreclosure property, working rehabs, and making private loans.  This will be a great opportunity to ask questions and get practical answers.  Avoid the hype – get the facts!

Mr. Hare represents real estate investors, commercial and residential property owners, and real estate developers. As an attorney and real estate investor, Mr. Hare provides both the new and experienced investor with a pragmatic but thorough approach to due diligence, contract review, and negotiations. Mr. Hare is familiar with regulations governing the use of self-directed IRAs for real estate investing, and helps clients getting started with the fundamentals, including formation of LLCs, drafting operating agreements, and advice on how to avoid prohibited transactions. 

With over 20 years experience in both the public and private legal sector working on land use, zoning, entitlement and code enforcement issues, Mr. Hare can assist the property owner in many aspects of property acquisition, due diligence, financing, leasing, and sale. Mr. Hare particularly enjoys helping new investors to get started on the right foot.  For the past ten years, Mr. Hare has been a Lecturer in Law at Santa Clara University School of Law, and is a former Captain in the U.S. Air Force.  

 

Lamarr Baxter, of Entrust, is a Business Development Representative for Entrust Administration, Inc.  In addition to specializing in self-directed retirement accounts, he is knowledgeable in residential mortgage loans for both primary homeowners and investors. He has previous experience in commercial leasing, A/R factoring, and private note loans secured by real estate. 

 

Lamarr regularly conducts educational seminars outlining the benefits and rewards of investing in real estate with a self-directed retirement account. With over 20 years of financial experience, he is able to provide his clients, partners, financial professionals, real estate professionals, and investors with the tools required to invest in real estate-related transactions with a truly self-directed retirement account.
