Post-Foreclosure Evictions

Fellow REIA Member Evan Loeffler of Loeffler Law Group, PLLC joins us to provide education on Post-Foreclosure Evictions.
Buying foreclosures at the Trustee's Auction ("the sale") often comes with surprises, sometimes including a tenant. "Tenants" in this case may come in many forms. Your new tenant may be the prior owner, the prior owner's relative, squatters or legitimate tenants. Agreements, if they exist, may be valid or invalid, month to month or a lease.

We will learn who can and cannot be evicted from a property purchased at the Trustee's Auction.
We'll find out which occupants require notices, the related level of complexity to vacate, how long the eviction process may take and get an idea of the related costs.
This webinar will be preceded by education on August 10, 2021
with Chris Leighton of WADOT Capital on Buying Foreclosures at the Trustee's Auction

Evan Loeffler is a fellow REIA Member and the Founder and Principal Attorney at the Loeffler Law Group, PLLC. He has 20+ years in landlord/tenant law and evictions.
He has extensive knowledge and litigation experience and is an author and contributor to several chapters on landlord-tenant law in the Washington Lawyers Practice Manual published and annually updated by the King County Bar Association. Mr. Loeffler is peer-rated AV by Martindale-Hubbell for having the highest ethical standards and legal ability. He was named a "Washington Super Lawyer" by Washington Law and Politics Magazine, and one of Washington's "Top 100 Lawyers" by Seattle Metropolitan Magazine in 2015.

| Mr. Loeffler is the co-author of the Real Estate Closing Deskbook, Third Edition, published by the American Bar Association. He lectures frequently for property managers and lawyers on landlord-tenant law and ethics and serves landlords, property manager and owners. |
